This is when the soft tissue or bone injury occurs. Thus, the injury is caused by a rapid movement of hyperflexion and hyperextension of the neck or hyperlateral flexion of the cervical spine.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">It can also happen while practising sports such as skiing, skating or horse riding, or during free-fall jumps such as parachuting or bungee jumping. In other words, in those activities that involve extreme acceleration and deceleration forces applied to the cervical spine.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p3\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Sintomas_del_latigazo_cervical\"><\/span><b>Whiplash symptoms<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p1\">It is usually pain in the neck and has a wide range. That is, it can range from mild tingling to absolutely incapacitating. It can occur in association with movement of the neck, both laterally and forwards and backwards.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Other symptoms that appear are limitation of movement and stiffness, neck instability, headaches or pain in the upper back and shoulders.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">You may also feel numbness, weakness or tingling radiating from the shoulder into the hand.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Sometimes the symptoms do not appear from the first moment. They may not start to be felt until 24-48 hours after the accident, depending on the physical condition of the person and the violence of the movement suffered.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">What happens is that a few years later, the person will start to notice tingling, numbness in the hands or fingers, headaches, dizziness, vertigo and neck pain.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">At this point, by means of an X-ray, we will discover a RECTIFICATION of the cervical CURVE or even the appearance of herniated discs. This is when the person starts to become dependent.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>of taking pills for relief. It should be borne in mind that this does not solve the root of the problem, it only provides temporary relief and all it does is damage our stomach.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Cuidado_Quiropractico\"><\/span><b>Chiropractic Care<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p1\">Chiropractic successfully assists in the recovery process. This process depends on many factors, it is not standard in all cases but varies according to personal circumstances, the severity of the injury, the patient's age and physical condition.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">It is important to treat lesions from the outset, as delay in treatment can lead to a worse outcome.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">Chiropractic works on the structural balance of the spine and nervous system. It pays special attention to the proper alignment and mobility of the spine. In cases of spinal instability the main aim is to correct it by adjustment.
